Drawing Clarity: A Hands-On, In-Person, Intro to Sketchnoting & Visual Thinking Unlock the power of pictures to boost productivity, creativity, and clarity at work. This 1-day, hands-on, in-person workshop is designed for professionals who want to communicate more clearly, think more creatively, collaborate more effectively, and actually remember the notes they take in meetings. Whether you're leading strategy sessions, facilitating workshops, or just tired of flipping through meeting minutes that make no sense, visual thinking will transform the way you work. Led by change strategist, CPA, and visual thinker Jessica Szewczuk, this hands-on course introduces you to the art and science of sketchnoting and visual storytelling — even if you think you “can’t draw.” You’ll learn to capture key messages, simplify complex information, and co-create templates that turn passive meetings into collaborative, high-impact conversations. What you’ll walk away with: ✅ A foundational toolkit for sketchnoting—even if you “can’t draw a stick figure” ✅ Practical visual thinking techniques to level up meetings, planning sessions, and facilitation ✅ Confidence using containers, icons, and layout strategies to clarify your message ✅ A personalized visual template you can bring back to your team and start using immediately ✅ A workbook full of visual prompts, templates, and creative inspiration You’ll get hands-on drawing time, high-quality materials, real-time coaching, and a supportive, low-pressure creative environment. Perfect for: ✅ Leaders, facilitators, changemakers, project managers, and anyone who wants to bring more clarity and engagement into their day-to-day! No experience necessary—just curiosity and an open mind.

I am a first-generation Portuguese-Canadian and I am settler on these lands. My business, The Art of Change, is a hybrid organization with employees and clients residing and working across a variety of traditional territories. We conduct our work mainly from the homelands of the Nehiyaw (Cree), Denesuliné (Dene), Nakota Sioux (Stoney), Anishinabae (Saulteaux), Niitsitapi (Blackfoot) and Métis peoples. In the spirit of deep respect and reciprocity, I acknowledge that we are located on a sacred place that has been shaped by the many contributions of the diverse Indigenous Peoples past and present. I also understand this place is impacted by the ongoing process of colonialism. In all that my team and I do, we express gratitude and respect for the land we use, we respect and pledge to be allies of all Indigenous Peoples, and we commit to honoring and advancing Reconciliation.
